I usually look at tik tok when I brush my teeth and wash my face at night. However I decided to read instead and came across this lovely post.

I live on the road currently at was in the redwoods recently. I was sad to see our timelines don’t line up.

However I snagged your build your own retreat PDF. I’m looking forward to digging into it.

I’m learning that I dig longer form content. It makes me feel less scattered. I’m still a sucker for some funny brain rot though, don’t get me wrong.

We ended up around crescent city so a bit further north. We came from Oregon. Before that we spent sometime in Washington.

I grew up Texas, and never spent extensive time in the PNW. This is a lovely place to get some land. The redwoods are magic.

I made a little comic about it while I was there. You feel the same about being there, in the woods in general.

This PDF found me at a good time because I was thinking about doing some solo truck camping soon. I think this would be a good companion.

That’s awesome. I agree though sometimes the funny stuff is entertaining! Crescent City is great, gorgeous redwoods up there.

I love this redwood comment! Thanks for sharing it with me!! Really excited to hear how the DIY retreat goes with your solo camping trip. Sounds ideal!

super relatable Bonefolder! I usually only look at tiktok while I do my PT exercises for my spinal injury. Glad you showed up here instead!

Were you in the Redwoods up in Humboldt? Someday, hopefully soon, I will live on some rural land up there.

Thanks for getting the PDF! Excited for you to go thru it. feel free to send me an email with your art, thoughts, or feedback!

Couldn't agree more. The democratic approach to class creation through waitlists is such a smart move. What if this model became the norm for content creation genearally? It would truly empower learners and build such a strong community around shared interests. Such a thoughtful way to build your buisness.

thank you Roxy! I am really excited to see how this pans out moving forward. I used to teach at a community center where I would propose 8-10 classes and usually have only 1-2 fill. I hope this feels more compassionate to both the students and to my teacher brain as a whole.

Eventually, I want to shift from YouTube to a Podcast, which would be a space where I'd be super open to a democratic approach on topics too. Escaping algorithms allows me to be way more thoughtful and focus on what Adrienne Maree Brown refers to as the "small is all" principle :)

Thank you so much! I’m real excited, it’s gonna be in the redwoods right after the fog rolls off. Thanks for waitlisting the sketchbook class! I think that should happen around the start of the new year 🤞🏻
